Care Instructions

Light:


Clerodendrum plants generally thrive in bright, indirect light. Place them in a location where they receive filtered sunlight or partial shade. While some varieties tolerate more direct sunlight, too much intense sun exposure may lead to leaf burn.


If grown outdoors, consider a location with dappled sunlight or morning sun and afternoon shade. This helps protect the plant from intense midday sunlight.

Watering:


Keep the soil consistently moist but not waterlogged. Water when the top inch of soil feels slightly dry to the touch. Clerodendrum plants appreciate regular watering during the growing season.


During the dormant period in winter, reduce watering frequency. Allow the soil to dry out a bit more between waterings as the plant's water requirements decrease.


While Clerodendrum likes consistent moisture, avoid overwatering, which can lead to root rot. Ensure proper drainage to prevent water accumulation around the roots.

Fertilization:


Feed Clerodendrum with a balanced, all-purpose fertilizer during the growing season (spring and summer). Choose a fertilizer with a balanced N-P-K ratio. Apply it according to the manufacturer's instructions.
