Plant Care:

Light:

• Moderate to Bright Indirect Light: Ficus Starlight prefers moderate to bright indirect light. Place it in a location with filtered sunlight, such as near a window with sheer curtains. While it can tolerate lower light conditions, optimal growth and variegation occur in well-lit areas.

• Avoid Direct Sunlight: Protect the plant from prolonged exposure to direct sunlight, especially during the hot afternoon hours, to prevent leaf burn. However, some direct morning sunlight can be beneficial.

Watering:

• Even Moisture: Keep the soil consistently moist during the growing season (spring and summer). Water when the top inch of the soil feels slightly dry to the touch. Ensure proper drainage to prevent waterlogged conditions.

• Reduced Watering in Winter: During the dormant period in winter, reduce watering frequency. Let the soil dry out more between waterings as the plant's water requirements decrease.

• Avoid Overwatering: Ficus starlight is susceptible to root rot, so avoid overwatering. Ensure that excess water drains away, and empty the saucer to prevent standing water.

Fertilization:

• Balanced Liquid Fertilizer: Feed Ficus Starlight with a balanced, liquid fertilizer diluted to half strength every 4-6 weeks during the growing season (spring and summer).

• Reduced Fertilization in Winter: Reduce or eliminate fertilization during the dormant period in fall and winter when the plant is not actively growing.

• Avoid Excessive Fertilization: Ficus Starlight is sensitive to overfertilization. Use a well-balanced fertilizer and follow the recommended application rates.
