Sansevieria Plant(Snake Plant)

Plant Care:

1. Light:

• Low to Bright Indirect Light: Sansevieria, or Snake Plant, is adaptable to a wide range of light conditions. It can thrive in low to bright indirect light. While it tolerates low light, it may grow more slowly. If possible, provide bright, indirect sunlight for optimal growth.

• Indoor Placement: Ideal for indoor spaces, place the Snake Plant near a window with filtered sunlight. It can also tolerate low-light conditions, making it suitable for offices or rooms with limited natural light.

Watering:

• Sparse Watering: Snake plants are drought-tolerant and prefer infrequent watering. Allow the soil to dry out completely between waterings. Water sparingly during the growing season (spring and summer).

• Reduced Watering in Winter: In the dormant period (fall and winter), reduce watering frequency. Only water is needed when the top inch of the soil feels dry.

• Avoid Overwatering: Snake plants are susceptible to root rot if overwatered. Ensure the pot has drainage holes, and remove excess water from the saucer to prevent waterlogging.

• Drought Tolerance: The Snake Plant can tolerate short periods of drought, making it a resilient choice for low-maintenance care.

Fertilization:

• Sparse Fertilization: Snake plants have low nutrient requirements. Fertilize with a diluted, balanced, water-soluble fertilizer during the growing season. Apply fertilizer every 6–8 weeks.

• Reduce Fertilization in Winter: In the dormant period, reduce or eliminate fertilization as the plant's metabolic activity slows down.

• Use a General-Purpose Fertilizer: Choose a well-balanced fertilizer with equal or near-equal ratios of nitrogen (N), phosphorus (P), and potassium (K).
